Goal
The campaign goal was met.
Help Build a Rainwater Harvesting System for Milimani Primary School
This system, implemented by our new partners at So They Can, will ensure adequate access to water for the entire school population. The water will be filtered for consumption, and also available for use by the school kitchen, which serves over 200,000 school meals every year.

So They Can is a nonprofit organisation, headquartered in Australia, committed to empowering children living in poverty through education. Their mission is to work with local communities and governments to provide quality education to children living in poverty in communities in Africa.
They aim to achieve this goal through improved learning conditions, teacher training and development, child well being, women’s empowerment and community engagement and health.
With 15 years of work in Kenya, specifically, we believe the team at So They Can is the ideal group to see this project through to completion. This specific Rainwater Harvesting System aligns with The White Feather Foundation in three of our areas of giving: Clean Water (since the project provides access), Education & Health (to improve physical well-being at a learning institution) and The Environment (the sustainable clean water solution utilises natural resources, which will also help supply the school’s on-site farm).
