Funded research to Identify new genetic factors important to kidney function and to the risk of kidney failure in children and adolescents with lupus. Understanding the risk factors that influence how quickly a person develops kidney failure may lead to improved care for those with lupus, new lupus medications, and ultimately, prevention of kidney failure.
Supporting critical work to help young people with lupus who are transitioning to adulthood and teaching them how to manage their own health through the development of a mobile application. This application helps young people track symptoms and easily communicate with their team.
