Aye
“My name is Aye, and I come from Chin State, Myanmar. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) in India. I am in my fourth semester, with each semester lasting six months. So far, I have not encountered major difficulties in my studies, and I am proud of the progress I have made, especially in improving my clinical skills. I am expected to graduate in 2028.
After completing my degree, I hope to continue my education by pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). In the future, I am committed to using my knowledge and skills to serve and contribute meaningfully to my community.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to The White Feather Foundation for their generous support, which has made my education possible. In the future, I am committed to giving back to my community by providing quality healthcare services and sharing my knowledge with others’’.
Gawa
“My name is Gawa, and I am from Chin State, Myanmar. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Cyber Security in India. I am in my fourth semester.
During my studies, I have faced challenges such as adapting to new subjects, managing academic workload, and overcoming language barriers. Despite these obstacles, I continue to work diligently to improve myself. One of my achievements includes successfully completing several academic projects related to my field of study. I am expected to graduate in 2028.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to The White Feather Foundation for their generous support, which has greatly helped me pursue my education. After graduation, I plan to continue my higher studies and use my skills in cyber security to contribute positively to my community and its development’’.
Mya
“I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Computer Engineering in India. Studying far from my home country
without family nearby has been challenging, and at times I experience loneliness and emotional difficulty. However, I find strength through prayer and faith, which encourages me to stay focused and continue my studies with determination.
Beyond academics, I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to my community. I am involved in developing a dictionary for my tribe, as our language does not yet have one. I am also supporting the recording of an audio Bible in our native language. These efforts are small but meaningful steps toward preserving our language, culture, and identity.
Academically, I have maintained good performance and remain committed to completing my degree in 2028. After graduation, I hope to pursue higher education, possibly a master’s degree, so that I can gain deeper knowledge and skills. My long-term goal is to serve, support, and lead my community effectively. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to The White Feather Foundation for their generous support, which has made my education possible. I am committed to giving back to my community by using my knowledge and skills for its development and future growth’’.
Ferozah
“My name is Ferozah, and I am from Chin State, Myanmar. I am currently studying in India, where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing), a four-year programme. I am now in my fourth semester.
Throughout my academic journey, I have faced challenges such as managing a heavy workload, handling clinical duties, and adapting to hospital-based practical training. Despite these difficulties, I have grown to become more disciplined, responsible, and confident in my abilities. One of my key achievements is successfully progressing through my studies while gaining valuable clinical experience.
I sincerely thank The White Feather Foundation for their generous support in helping me continue my education. After graduation, I plan to gain professional experience and later pursue higher education abroad. I am deeply committed to returning to serve my community and contribute to improving healthcare services’’.
Rose
“My name is Rose and I am currently pursuing my B.Tech in Civil Engineering in India. During my studies, I have faced challenges in communication and understanding lectures, as some faculty members often use Hindi, which makes it difficult to fully follow the lessons at times. Despite these obstacles, I stay focused by doing additional self-study and reviewing lessons on my own. Through perseverance and dedication, I have been able to pass all my exams with good results. I am expected to graduate in 2028.
After completing my degree, I hope to continue my higher education in a European country if the opportunity arises. My aim is to build strong technical knowledge and practical skills thatwill help me make a meaningful difference in society.
I am deeply grateful to The White Feather Foundation for believing in students like me and investing in our education. This support has encouraged me to keep moving forward with confidence, and I hope to honour it by contributing positively to my community and future generations”.
