When our friends at Studio Samuel told us that they did not have sufficient funding secured to furnish their students with the required uniforms to begin the school year, our team at The White Feather Foundation responded with a $3000 emergency donation from our general fund to meet their needs.
The girls, who range in age from 12 – 18, in grades 7 – 12 started school just three days ago. They’re beginning studies in subjects ranging from science and health to computer technology and entrepreneurship.
Many are the first in their families to reach this level of education, and they dream of what their life will become as they aspire to future careers in nursing, engineering and the arts.
Mahi, 14 – Just three days into 8th grade, lights up when she talks about math. Wearing her brand-new school uniform, she says she feels “part of something big” and hopes to become an engineer.
In times of need, partners support one another, and we’re so grateful that the generosity of our White Feather Foundation donors enabled us to help our friends at Studio Samuel in this way. We wish the girls the best of luck in their studies!

It’s really wonderful that the girls all received school uniforms ! . Those young ladies are given opportunity with school now that so many take for granted here in the USA. They can soar and become anything they desire to be!!! This makes me super happy to read about ! Beautiful work TWFF !!
