We are pleased to share the yearly update from our 2024 group of scholarship recipients in India, which was provided to us by Palli Unnayan Seva Samiti (PUSS), Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Please note the girls’ names have been changed in this report for their safety.
Ritvi, Age 16, Class 12 (Science)
Ritvi is currently in her final year of Class 12 Science. She has consistently demonstrated focus and diligence in her studies and is working hard toward her upcoming board examinations.
Ritvi remains optimistic about the potential results and aims to pursue higher education to achieve a successful future.
Prisha, Age 15, College
Prisha is currently enrolled in Arts at Jaydev College, Bhubaneswar. She is enjoying her college experience and actively participates in her classes.
She aspires to become an administrator in the future and demonstrates strong commitment to her education and professional development.
Latika, Age 14, Class 10
Latika is preparing for her half-yearly examinations in Class 10. She has a strong interest in technology and enjoys learning about computers and new software.
She aspires to become an administrator in the future and strongly believes in the transformative power of education.
Amina, Age 14, College
Amina has enrolled in Arts at Devaray College, Bhubaneswar, after completing her matriculation. She is performing well academically and enjoys her college classes.
Amina aspires to become a nurse, aiming to contribute to her community through healthcare and service.
Nyla, Age 21, Employed Full-Time
Nyla is now employed at a private company in Ludhiana, Punjab. Despite health challenges related to Hepatitis B, she continues to work diligently and demonstrates remarkable resilience.
Her progress reflects her courage in overcoming personal and health-related obstacles while maintaining professional responsibilities.
Akshara, Age 16, College (Arts)
Akshara is completing her Class 12 Arts at B.J.B. Autonomous College, Bhubaneswar. Despite personal challenges, she continues to perform well academically and is motivated to pursue higher education.
She aspires to be a role model for other girls in her community.
Ahana, Age 20, Graduation (Arts)
Ahana is in the second year of her graduation in Arts. She has consistently maintained good academic performance and is preparing to complete her degree next year.
She is focused on her studies and is building the foundation for a meaningful career.
The achievements of these students highlight the transformative power of education and donor support. With continued guidance and resources, these young girls can achieve their academic goals, build meaningful careers, and inspire others in their communities.
