The Reality
The United Nations (UN) reports that just 60% of girls complete elementary school and only about half that attend secondary education in our world’s underdeveloped nations. Furthermore, young women from the ages of 15 to 24 are twice as likely to contract HIV as their male counterparts. These grim statistics must be reversed—and with your help we can help do so through education and health-focused programs that transform lives and restore communities.
Global Impact
Donors to this area of giving at The White Feather Foundation have helped build new schools and furnished supplies in Zambia; provided safe transportation for medical emergencies in Uganda; sponsored award-winning social justice films in the USA: raised awareness and funds for Lupus in the USA; supported events and programs to prevent and find a cure for AIDS in the USA and Ethiopia; provided emergency supplies for victims of an earthquake in Nepal and relief for war refugees in Ukraine.
