Teach Her is a US-based 501(c)3 nonprofit that offers higher education and support to orphaned girls. They work to lift up the more than 4 million young women currently living in institutional care worldwide.

The funding TWFF will provide will cover fees, transportation, books and stationery, plus coaching support and career counseling for students in India.

“Thank you so much for supporting the work here at Teach Her. Without the generosity of organizations like The White Feather Foundation, these young women face an extremely uncertain future. But now, thanks to you, seven more lives will be changed for the better through education.” – John Marshall, Founder

Ikamva Labantwana Bethu serves as a beacon of hope for underprivileged girls in South Africa, offering them educational opportunities and vital support to excel academically. Through their Girls Empowerment program, students that are vulnerable to gender-based violence receive specialized life skills curriculum, mental health support and a safe environment to discuss and address issues that are unique to female students.

The funding TWFF will provide will cover tuition, school supplies, uniforms, career guidance, vocational training, counseling, health and nutritional support.

We are writing to express our heartfelt gratitude for granting the Cynthia Lennon Scholarship for Girls to five of our participants at Ikamva Labantwana. This generous support will significantly impact their lives and educational journeys.” – Jonas Phoshoko|, Programmes Manager

Since 2012, Health & Hope has been supporting students in and from Chin State, Myanmar to pursue college and higher education opportunities. Their Freedom to Education Programme (FEP) provides scholarships to talented young students who carry a vision for the long-term benefit of their people and provide them with the opportunity to pursue higher education.

The funding TWFF will provide will cover student accommodations, tuition, English language classes, computer lessons, coaching, mentoring and community engagement through social activities.

“We are absolutely thrilled to learn of the award of the Cynthia Lennon Scholarships for Girls for our ‘Freedom to Education Programme’. Education in Myanmar is a lifeline of opportunity where conflict is currently raging across the country. These scholarships will bring a beacon of hope not only into the lives of the recipients, but into their families and wider communities. They will enable young women to be equipped to serve and re-build their communities for many years to come.” – Miles Jarvis, Executive Director

Studio Samuel Logo

Education at Studio Samuel in Ethiopia is not just a pathway to a better future; it is a lifeline and a safe space for girls. Many of the students come from families struggling to survive, unable to provide transportation, notebooks, pencils, and the basic school supplies required to attend. When girls in their community are denied access, they’re at a heightened risk of gender-based violence, trafficking, and harmful practices that fuel the poverty cycle for adolescent girls.

The funding TWFF will provide will cover school & program supplies, occupational training, safe transportation to and from the program site, health support including check-ups, hygiene kits and counseling and martial arts for self-defense and empowerment.

“This announcement comes at a pivotal time, as our community has seen up to 60% inflation rates due to the recent banking changes. It will level off, but in the meantime, our girls are affected most and this support allows families to keep their girls in school. The ripple effect of one girl staying in school has the power to shift social norms and begin breaking the poverty cycle she was born into. We’re honored to have you on this journey with us.” – Tamara Horton, Founder

We thank the members of The Muse monthly donor program and everyone who made one-time donations to The Cynthia Lennon Scholarship for Girls, which made these scholarships possible.
