The White Feather foundation has funded a drilling and construction of a borehole in the semiarid area of Loitokitok, thereby allowing the children of the primary public school of Ol Doinyo Oibor and the communities of the neighbourhood to access sufficient water of good quality.

This project was carried out by InterActions & Solidarity.

I&S has conducted a geological study, completed a drilling, controlled the quality of water and trained the local safety committee to the sustainable management of the drilling and its equipment.

The first measurable effects of this project are now appearing : water related pathologies have dramatically declined by 40 % within two months and an orchard is being planted that will partly ensure the auto financing of the school canteen.
